CTS - Most cases of carpal tunnel syndrome can be self treated. You will learn how to open that tunnel and relieve those sleepy, tingly and painful fingers and hands. You can then give your clients their homework to help themselves.
Description: TMJ
A course of continuing education designed to increase the clinical massage therapist's skill and competency in relieving muscular pains causing Temporal Mandible Joint dysfunction (TMJ). A review of the anatomy of neck, external and internal mandible, bones and muscles will be conducted. Postural influences of Robarts foot and Morton's Toe and resulting skeletal& muscle imbalances will be presented. We will look at the effects of forward head position and implications in TMJ. There will be a discussion of the stages of muscle dysfunction and recovery.
Preparation:
A general review of your anatomy book covering the neck, throat, ,jaw and mouth if you are somewhat rusty.
Please bring your table, linens, comfortable clothing and snacks. We will work straight through with short breaks.
All work is clothes-on. NO lotions or oils please.
